Tricyrtis hirta
In the family of rare varieties from Mayesh, this is a very, very unusual orchid-like white flowers streaked with mauve for a thoroughly exotic look. Delicate speckled flowers add a charming touch to floral designs. Tricyrtis bloom in the fall, with the most unique blossoms that you could imagine. The bud balloons before opening, and when it does open it reveals a six petalled flower, with each petal curved upward. The background color is white, but there are numerous dark purple spots, speckled with white, on the petals. Three pistils and six anthers rise above the flower. It's really quite showy, in a weird way we think you'll find most interesting in your floral designs. Toad Lily blooms in late September to October.
