today. Take Leonotis commonly known as Lion's tail for example, a striking cut flower from Mayesh, with velvety orange petals that emphasizes the ahhh in awesome!

A genus of labiate plants (Leonorus) so called because of its flower spikes to the tuft of a lions tail. The flower blossoms in summer and fall has a faint smell of chrysanthemum.

It is a tall native of southern Africa where it is used for epilepsy, headache, hypertension, and for stomach and bronchial problems. It was one of

the first South African flowers
to be brought back to Europe
for cultivation, and is known to
have been grown in Holland in
the 1600's.
